In short: the invoice details you type stay on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. We do use cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to measure overall usage and improve the tools, but those never capture the contents of your invoices.

No account required

SunnyBill does not require you to create an account or sign in. You can use every tool on the site anonymously.

Your invoice data stays in your browser

The details you enter - business information, client details, line items, and payment information - are stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. This data is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. It exists solely so you can reuse your details and restore your last draft the next time you visit.

Logo and signature uploads

Any logo or signature image you add is processed entirely within your browser to generate the invoice preview and PDF. These images are not uploaded anywhere; they remain on your device.

You control your data

You can remove everything saved on your device at any time using the "Clear saved data" button in the invoice generator, or by clearing your browser's site data. Once cleared, the information cannot be recovered.

Analytics and cookies

To understand how the site is used - which tools are popular and where people get stuck - we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. These services set cookies and collect anonymized usage data such as the pages you visit, your approximate location, your device and browser type, and how you interact with the page (clicks, scrolls, and aggregated heatmaps and replays of those interactions).

Importantly, these tools are configured to mask the content you type. They do not capture the contents of your invoices - your business or client names, addresses, amounts, or any field you fill in. They record how the page is used, never the private details within it. This anonymized usage data is processed by Google and Microsoft under their own privacy policies. You can opt out using your browser's privacy settings or an extension that blocks analytics.

Advertising

We may display advertising (for example, Google AdSense) to keep the tools free. Ad providers can use cookies to show relevant ads. Any ad code is placed in clearly defined content areas and never has access to your invoice form data, which stays in your browser.
